The Junior Associate role is ideal for someone who is 1-3 years out of a bachelor’s degree, wants a flexible career in digital consulting with many different types of work, and is looking for agile growth opportunities. Junior Associates focus on public sector, mission-critical projects, and contribute to and grow the company.

This specific role will support a major Federal government client’s public digital outreach initiatives, focused on local and regional business audiences. The role will intersect with a significant level of creative media production and dissemination, along with social media and search marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work side-by-side with our clients and project partner teams, to solve tough problems and deliver outstanding client service
  • Quickly learn business and consulting skills to identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to their team and clients
    Become current and proficient in digital marketing & outreach methods, services and communication technologies, as well as core information management processes
  • Produce high quality work products on time
  • Be a part of our learning culture, where people put team, client, and company interest ahead of their own
  • Make company contributions outside of the project by participating in new business, recruiting, and/or strategic initiatives
  • Have the opportunity for mentoring and frequent interaction with company executives and partner organizations

Required qualifications:

  • Understanding of and interest in consulting focused on Government clients, leveraging commercial best practices
  • Excellent work ethic in a dynamic and challenging environment, from very small to large teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, wants to learn business & digital government strategies
  • Outstanding communications skills, writing and verbal
  • Bachelor’s degree, minimum
  • Technology savvy, especially with Microsoft products, social media, Internet research and use of collaboration tools (such as Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, ready to learn, and able to take on more responsibility quickly while being disciplined on doing administrative tasks as you learn consulting
  • Interest in business analysis and process and technology consulting
  • Desire to join a small firm and team, stay for the long-term and help grow the team and practice
  • US citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum required education – GMU/JMU/UVA/VT/GWU, for example, are backgrounds of our current staff and interns.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (but NOT REQUIRED specifically at this time)

Salary is commensurate with experience, 1-3 years post BA/BS degree. Flexibility regarding work locations among our Fairfax offices, DC client locations and mobile telecommuting is expected (no metro access to Fairfax office).
